Ideas for decorative painting come in many different forms. It can come from something in nature, a piece of fabric or paper, in a magazine, book, or TV, it can come from a commercial site such as a restaurant or retail store or from another home to name a few.
I always tell our clients, designers or home/business owners, if you see something you like show us and we'll see what we can do to make it happen. It's what keeps us motivated. We are always looking for an opportunity to grow and explore the potential of ourselves and the products we use.
For example. I saw the ad shown below in a magazine and knew I wanted it somewhere on a wall in my home. I kept the ad tucked away in a folder until I knew exactly where I wanted to see it.

(I especially love the little cable knit pillow in the front.)
We unexpectedly needed new countertops before Thanksgiving. (Bad timing but exciting at the same time).
We picked a beautiful white quartz but once the countertops were in the kitchen still needed some punch. I knew exactly where my idea would go.

I am not usually a dark color person but the texture in this finish gives the walls such depth that the dark color feels light and clean.
I absolutely love my kitchen!
